One, All, Every presents See a Clean Future with Ugo Rondinone and RVS Eyewear
How do we see the world? Can we see it freely? Or are we influenced by an invisible matrix of ideologies? How might we remind ourselves to see our own realities and filter the noise?
Although vision is just one way of experiencing the world, it is powerful. As such, ONE, ALL, EVERY (OAE) sought out a designer, an artist, and four environmental pioneers to create a limited-edition collection of sunglasses, since shaded lenses provide a filter to protect our eyes and alter our sensory experiences. This line of sustainable and inspirational sunglasses is produced in collaboration with RVS Eyewear and Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone and imbued with the enlightened ideas of Sylvia Earle, Jane Goodall, Wangari Maathai, and E. O. Wilson. Aptly named See a Clean Future, the collection is a daily reminder that just one choice—one change—can make a difference.
RVS Eyewear gave See a Clean Future sunglasses a classic, unisex, global, and, above all, environmentally prudent design wherein each frame offers four different lens options that correspond to the elements that make up our world: water, earth, fire, and air. They tell a story of eco hope by linking each concept with a hero from our time: Sylvia Earle (water), Jane Goodall (earth), E. O. Wilson (fire), and Wangari Maathai (air). Inspirational words from each of these figures, corresponding to the assigned elements, are inscribed on the insides of the sunglasses frames and the lens cloths.
During the See a Clean Future exhibition and project, OAE will donate 25 percent of net sale proceeds from each unit sold of the earth, air, and fire glasses to the Jane Goodall Institute, Green Belt Movement, and E. O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation, respectively. OAE will give 25 percent of the of the net sale proceeds from each unit sold of water glasses to support a leading charity in the fight to protect and build action for water conservation.
